Abraham Prudhomme Jr. was born December 3, 1945 to the late proud parents of Abraham Prudhomme Sr. and Elsie Stevens Prudhomme.

He attended school in Iowa, LA where he graduated in 1963. Afterwards he joined the United States Army, where he rose to the rank of U S Army Staff Sergeant  before retiring with twenty-two years of dedicated service to his country.

On July 21, 2026, this world could no longer offer Abraham a home and he parted this life to be present with the Lord. He was preceded in death by his father, Abraham Prudhomme and mother, Elsie Stevens Prudhomme; daughter, Tracy Prudhomme; sister, Juanita Prudhomme; grandmother, Milean Spencer; grandfather, Hamilton Stevens; aunts, Alice Spencer and Dorothy Montgomery and uncles, Floyd Spencer and James Spencer; a special niece, Carla Stevenson and special nephew, Carl Stevenson.

He leaves to celebrate his life, his sons, Keith Dewayne Prudhomme (Paula) and Terrance Prudhomme of Lake Charles LA, Kevin Prudhomme of Germany and Dewayne (Paula) Prudhomme Sr.; Grandsons: Dewayne (Raven) Prudhomme Jr. and David (Alexia ) Prudhomme Sr., and Sylvester and LaJonte Prudhomme; Great-Grandchildren: Aidan, Gabriella, Alivia, Amelia, Dallas and David Jr. Prudhomme, Tess, Addison, Taylor, Cekniyah, Cylen, Carmelo, Layla, Delilah, Connor, Tyler, Kiamara, Addilyn, Mariah, Mekhi, Jaiden, Sahira, Deja Leday, Londynn LeDay, Lailani LeDay, Layla LeDay, Lovey LeDay.

He also leaves to celebrate his life his brothers, Ray Lynn Prudhomme, Don Prudhomme both from Iowa, LA, Lonnie Stevens and Henry Stevens of Oakland CA; two sisters, Bernadine (Terry) Tatom and Cynthia Prudhomme both of Oakland CA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
