Obituary
Annie Mae Mathews Barnes, 94, transitioned Thursday, April 27, 2023. Annie was born in Four Corners, Louisiana August 9, 1928 to O'Neal Mathews and Celestine Bourgeois Mathews.
She is survived by her children, Mary B. Bellanger of Baton Rouge, LA, Sandra B.(Kenneth) Mouton and Bernadette B. Seaberry both of Lake Charles, LA; one son, Pastor Allen (Christina) Barnes, Sr. of Richmond, CA; three daughters-in-law, Patsy Barnes-Davis of Fairfield, CA, Cheryl Boswell-Barnes of Stockton, CA, and Lillian Arceneaux of Lake Charles, LA; and another son-in-law, Albert Bellanger, III; 21 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; several godchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and community friends.
Funeral Services, 11:00 AM Saturday, May 6, Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Wake, Friday, May 5th, Fondel Memorial Chapel, 4:00PM - 8:00PM. Final Viewing before funeral, Saturday 9:00AM - 10:35AM at Fondel Memorial Chapel.
A ceremony by the Ladies Auxiliary will be held Friday, May 5th at 4:00 PM at Fondel Memorial Chapel, with a rosary following at 4:30 PM.
