Barbara "Brown Sugar" Ann Gray
Devoted Mother, Grandmother and Friend

Barbara Ann Gray 64, left us Monday February 6, 2023 at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.
Barbara was born August 9, 1958 at Moss Regional Hospital in Lake Charles, LA. to Louvenia Alexander and Toefield Gray. Barbara is a lifelong resident of Lake Charles, LA. Barbara attended Marion High School class of 75.

Barbara worked at Krogers, Ryans, L'Auberge and Lake Charles Care Center where she was very loved and enjoyed working and spending time with her co-workers. Barbara attend Christian World Church under Pastor Jerry and Hope Snider for 13 years; she also served in the children Ministry for 4 years.

Barbara also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was always on the go. She enjoyed cooking, playing spades and going to her grandchildren events. She had a smile that would light up anyone and any room.

Barbara is survived by her 3 daughters – Shalonda Gray, Latilda Gray (Jacobs), and Sandy Robinson; one son – John Gray; one son-in-law – Marcus Jacobs; one great grandson – Pretzon Gauthier; one sister – Mary Gray; one brother – Samuel Gray; three godchildren – Tena Matthews (Williams), Monique Gray, and Dewan Gray; one true best friend – Ann Stevens; Godparents – Betty and Floyd Mouton and a host of nieces and nephews.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents Louvenia Alexander and Toefield Gray; daughter Theresa Gray; sisters – Helen May, Sarah Ballou, Martha Stenson, Ruth and Rose Alexander; brothers – Wilton, Freddie, Clarence, Willard, and Toefield Gray Jr.
