Brenda Louise Rushing 68 of Lake Charles, La passed away October 28, 2025 at a local hospice facility. She was native to Lake  Charles, La where she lived many of her years on her beloved Calcasieu River. Brenda was born August 3, 1957 in Lake Charles, La to Louis and Melba Mae LeBleu. Brenda loved the outdoors. She loved to go fishing, crabbing, and hunting. In earlier years she could be found wading in to the Gulf under a moon lit sky during one of many camping trips to Rutherford beach with her Husband Shorty.

She is survived by her daughters Edith (Edie) Williams-Oliver (Russell), Diana Renee' Lasseigne (Sean) Her partner Rick Manuel and companion Coco, siblings Martin (Marty) LeBleu, Rickie Herbert, Gilbert Hebert, Vera Hebert, Rebecca Hebert, 2 grand daughters and several nieces and nephews.

She is proceded in death by her parents Louis Milton LeBleu and Melba Mae (Miller) LeBleu, step mother Sheila LeBleu, husband Bobby (Shorty) Rushing , partner Eddie Myers, son Kristopher Justin Schoening, sister Kathleen (LeBleu) Fruge, and brother Arthur (Art) LeBleu.

Brenda is being cremated under the direction of Fondel Funeral Home. As per her wishes there will be no service. To honor her memory please make donations to your local charities.
