Bruce Marshall Lewins was born in Elizabeth, Louisiana, on June 20th, 1948.

He grew up in Oakdale, Louisiana, and in 1960, graduated from Allen High School. Bruce joined the Air Force immediately after graduating. He served 4 years as an airplane mechanic. On his tours with the Airforce, he was stationed in San Diego, Thailand, and served in the Vietnam War. He moved to Lake Charles, Louisiana in 1980 and started his career as a city bus driver shortly there after.  He later on retired from driving busses for the city.

Bruce went to his eternal home on 1-1-25.

He is preceded by Granny, his father Rosevelt Lewings, his mother Dorothy Mincey, his brother Charles Lewings, and grandson Jabari Jones.

He leaves behind older sister Annie Curry, children Jeffrey Lewins, Dorothy Gonzales Jones, Teresa Gonzales Perkins, and Marques Ryan. Grandchildren Tayla Broussard, Alysiah Lewins, Kirsten Robertson, Anthony Tolliver, Dedrick Matthews, Jeffrey Lewins Jr., David Lewins, Lauren Lewins, Annalisa Jones, Jahsiel Perkins, Sacarri Perkins, and Khalid Jones. Two great grandchildren Addison and Ayden Broussard.  (12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren) Girlfriend Jennette Ryan, neices, nephews, and many other friends.
