IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Cherry Ann
Harrison
December 21, 1957 – April 23, 2025
We gather to celebrate the beautiful life of Cherry Harrison - a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, loving sister, caring aunt, and treasured friend. On April 23, 2025, Cherry peacefully ascended to heaven, leaving behind a legacy marked by love, laughter, and grace.
Cherry was born in Jennings, Louisiana, and later moved with her family to Lake Charles, Louisiana, where she graduated from Marion High School. Her presence in the lives of those who knew her was like a sparkle in a dim room — radiant, warm, and unforgettable.
Known for her impeccable style, Cherry was always dressed to impress: elegant dresses, perfectly curled hair, and her signature lipstick. Her outward beauty was only matched by the vibrancy of her spirit. She found joy in life's simple pleasures — a plate of fried chicken or fish, the music of her favorite show Star, and the quiet rhythm of her daily walks and morning sit-ups.
Though shy and camera-averse, Cherry's beauty was timeless and self-evident. Her laughter was contagious, her advice filled with wisdom, and her presence a comforting light to everyone she touched. She made everyone feel seen, loved, and valued.
Cherry was the glue that held her family together. She poured her heart into those she loved, offering unwavering support and encouragement. Her home and her heart were always open.
She leaves behind two devoted children, Louis Harrison and Santana Harrison; one sister, Gail Gibbs; one brother, Victor "Curly" Harrison; and eleven beloved grandchildren: Tyrese A. Harrison, Amya I. Freeman, Armani I. Harrison, Alijah M. Harrison, Trevion D Harrison, Zoeie Ceaser, Gerald D. Chavis Jr., Jamar L. Chavis, Gei' Ahvona Harrison, Malik Lafanette, Caleb Harrison and a host of loving family.
Cherry is now reunited in eternal peace with her beloved son, German "Wayne" Harrison; her five sisters, Gertrude Chapman, Mildred Polk, Linda Lovick, Rita Butler, and Veronica "Big JoAnn" Thomas; her three brothers, Eugene "Steve" Harrison, Lawrence "Larry Harrison, and June Harrison; her loving parents, Beulah and Billie Harrison; many dear aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
We thank God for the gift of Cherry's life. We will forever carry her memory in our hearts - every hug, every laugh, every lesson, and every kiss. She was, and always will be, our superwoman.
"Her absence is deeply felt, but her presence will forever be cherished."
Matthew 28:20
