Dana Yvette DuPont Fondel, age 53 passed away peacefully on Thursday April 29, 2021, at Moss Memorial Hospital in Lake Charles, LA. She was born June 6, 1967 to Amber Jean Tutson and Norrell
Henry Dupont. She wore many hats throughout her life including mom, daughter, wife, sister, cousin, chef and best friend just to name a few. She never turned anyone away from a meal or place to sit, rest, laugh and talk on that big front porch. If not on that infamous front porch you could just follow the smell of greens cooking, some sort of of meat in the oven or pineapple upside down cake. If not the smells just follow the sound of that contagious loud laugh or fussing at the Lifetime channel.

She was and remains to be so much to so many people whether blood related or not. She is survived by her husband Jerald of 32 years, sister Johnnie Michelle Tutson, daughters Tyrikka Fondel and Lashaunda (Thomas) Boyd, sons Jerald (Marquita) DuPont and Jared (Cyndi) Fondel. She was preceded in death by her mother Amber Tutson, brother Norell Henry DuPont Jr, and sister Lynn DuPont. She leaves behind to cherish her memories a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services will be
held Friday May 7, 2021 at Fondel Funeral Home 832 N. Lyons St. With viewing starting at 9 a.m.
