Edward Rubin, 68 passed away November 29, 2018 in a local nursing Facility in Lake Charles, LA for a number of years before moving to Lake Charles. He was preceded in death by both parents, Rodney Rubin Sr. and Ethel Green Rubin; brothers, Robert (Anna) Rubin, Rodney (Lisa) Rubin and Shelby (Theresa) Rubin; granddaughter, Alana Annette Huerta.

Survivors included wife Paula Jones Rubin; three sons, Quintin Rubin, Paul Rubin, and Marlon Rubin all of Lake Charles, LA; two daughters, Gladys Rubin of Katy, TX and Earllisha Charles of Jennings; brothers, Felton (Odessa) Rubin of Katy, TX, John Robert Rubin of Jennings and Horace Rubin of Columbus, Ohio; one sister, Jane (Rubin) Treadwell of Roanoke, LA; grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Funeral services for Edward "Sugarfoot" Rubin will be on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Mount Missionary Baptist Church of Roanoke, LA at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Berthel Lewis officiant. Visitation will 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Peterson Memorial Park, under the direction of Fondel Memorial Chapel.
