Eva Rebecca Antoine-Fontenot, 69, was born on February 27, 1951, in New Iberia, LA and spent her formative years as a resident of Lake Charles, LA. She entered into eternal rest on Feb. 14, 2021. She was a 1969 graduate of W.O. Boston High School in Lake Charles, LA. She worked for the Lake Charles Police Department for over 26 years and after years of protecting and serving the city of Lake Charles, she retired as a Lieutenant.

Eva (Becky) is preceded in death by her parents, Louis Antoine, Jr. and Marie Alice Antoine; her siblings, Francis Roy Antoine and Mary Alice Williams, and her granddaughter, Krystal Shantel Briscoe.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her three children: Kevin (Lisa) Antoine of
San Antonio, TX and Velveny (Ulysses) Smith of Laveen, AZ and Earl Vercher of Dallas, TX;
Four siblings: Ethel Jane Bias, Catherine Spencer, Edward Ray Antoine ad Juanita Thomas,
all current residents of Lake Charles, LA; Seven grandchildren: Kevin Antoine II, Kyle Antoine, Kailyn Antoine, all current residents of Austin, TX, Jazmin Antoine of San Antonio, TX, Kaleb Antoine of Maricopa, AZ and Justin Crenshaw of Laveen, AZ; Four great-grandchildren: Kamarion Antoine, Keiyan Antoine, Zanya Antoine, Israyel Antoine, all current residents of Austin, TX; a host of relatives and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church at noon. Her visitation will be held from 9 am to 11:30 am in Fondel Memorial Chapel. Burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of Fondel Memorial Chapel.
