Ezola Guillory Woods, 92, of Lake Charles, Louisiana was called home on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Lake Charles Care Center around 2:22 am. She was born to Roman and Mary Broussard Guillory in Elton, Louisiana on July 26, 1925. She moved to Lake Charles in 1957.

She and her companion, the late Nora Otis Woods were together for over 50 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her companion; three sisters, Edmonia Soileau, Anne Guillory and Rita Ballou; two brothers, Bob Guillory and Paul Pitre.

Ezola's memories will live on in the heart of her only child, Leola L. Robinson (Eugene, Sr.) of Lake Charles, Louisiana; 6 grandchildren, Cassandra D. Paige of Hinesville, Georgia; Warren K. Lewis of Irving, Texas, Arnold J. Lewis (Raquel) of Houston, Texas, Donella Hicks-Shaw (Michael) of Lake Charles, Louisiana; Eric G. Hicks of Dallas, Texas, and Shannon L. Robinson (Johnita) also of Houston, Texas. Ten great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. Nieces: Mary Louise Guillory, Ida Joseph (Lester), Helen Antoine (Larry), Veronica Soileau, Maxey Soileau and Alice Soileau (Lannis). Nephews: Wilfred Soileau, Alvin Soileau (Judy), Leonard Soileau, Michael Soileau (Deirdre); sisters-in-law, Vivian Woods of Elton, Louisiana, Elzina Cole and Ida Woods, both of Lake Charles, Louisiana; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Elton, Louisiana from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 am with Reverend Father Jose Vattakunnel officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Fondel Funeral Home, Lake Charles with burial in St. Paul Cemetery.
