IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Farris
Guidry
September 10, 1952 – December 4, 2023
Farris "Verrian" Guidry, beloved, father, and Pops, drew his last breath on December 4, 2023 at 4:24 A.M. at the Harbor Hospice, in Lake Charles, La.
Farris Guidry was born to the late Irene Rougeau and Edley Guidry, in Lafayette, LA on September 10, 1952.
Farris was sacrament baptized at an early age. He graduated from Eunice High School in Eunice, LA in 1971, and after graduation, he enlisted in the United State Army where he served from 1971-1975, and worked as a Diesel Mechanic and left with an honorably discharged.
After he served in the Army he worked with the Labor Hall Union as a Construction Supervisor, where he retired in 2015.
Farris "Verrian" Guidry was a loner and known as a Renaissance man. Farris "Verrian" Guidry loved working with his hands, working on cars and was an industrial farmer. He didn't believe in credit cards so you would find that he paid for everything in cash. He was always the life of the party, he loved zydeco music, and every Saturday morning you could find him listening to his favorite local radio station with his favorite beverage. His daughters and his grandchildren were the absolute LOVE of his life. His favorite saying was, "If you ever need something just give me a call."
He was a very blunt person who never sugar-coated anything, he said what he said, and he meant how he said it. He could be very stubborn but loving, caring, and funny if you knew who he was.
Farris leaves to cherish his memory his two daughters Stacey Williams of Lake Charles, LA; Ashley Marie Guidry of Lake Charles, LA; 6 grandchildren – Marissa Jenkins, Lauren Jenkins, Devin Jenkins, Dominque Miller, A'Kayla "Tu-Tu" Guidry, and Patrick "P.J." Guillory Jr. His three brothers, Paul "Herdy" Guidry (Ivory), Linton "Tee-Tee" Guillory, and Terry(_). His three sisters, Carrie Withers(Henry) of Lake Charles, LA, Linda Senegal (Danny)Opelousas, LA; Merdina Zachary(John), Opelousas, LA. The mother of his two beautiful daughters Charity Marie Williams of Alexandria, LA., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Farris "Verrian" Guidry is preceded in death by his parent's Irene Rougeau and Edley Guidry and his two brothers, Larry Guidry, Opelousas, LA; Hebert Guidry, Lake Charles, LA.
