Obituary

Freddie Lee Williams was born on August 31, 1936, to Olevia and Raney Williams in Elton, Louisiana. He departed this life on June 1, 2023.

Freddie Lee married the late Celia Freeman on December 21, 1957. To this union, three children were born: Victoria, Annetta, and Angela.

He was a dedicated member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and served in different ministries, until his illness prevented him from attending. Freddie served as Grand Knight of Pope John XXIII Council #153 Knights Peter Claver, an usher, and a Eucharistic Minister. He was always willing to help with a smile and without a single complaint. Freddie Lee loved his family and really enjoyed spending time with relatives, laughing and reminiscing about the past. Listening to Zydeco music was also high on his list of favorites. In addition, he liked fishing and growing fruit trees so that others could enjoy.

Freddie will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered by his three daughters: Victoria Bennett (Dennis) of Lake Charles, La; Annetta Papillon (Jimmy) of Eunice, La; and Angela King (John) of Elton, La. Two sisters from Lake Charles, La - Elnora Lewis (Leon) and Gloria Williams; LaDasha Williams of Tx; four brothers: Wiley Williams (Katie) and John Weim Williams both from Lake Charles, La; Warren Williams of Kinder, La; and Larry Williams Sr.(Versa) of LaPorte, Tx; sisters-in-law; Mary Mallet and Mary Freeman of Elton, and Irene Poliard (Mark) of Houston, Tx. brothers-in-law- Rogers Freeman and Albert Ceasar; two aunts from Lake Charles: Elzina Cole and Ida Woods; grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A special tribute goes to his wonderful caretakers, Brandi Venible, John King, Kiara Thomas, and Mike Venible. We really appreciate all that you did for our family.
