Frence was born on October 5, 1949 in Lake Charles, LA to Landry Jacobs and Oreta Burks. She graduated from Marion High School and later married McKinley Berry Jr to which 2 beautiful daughters (NiChelle and Tiffanty) were born to this union. She lived in Lake Charles all of her life.

She was a loyal employee of Isle of Capri / Horseshoe Casino for over 20 years. She loved her family dearly.

Frence was preceded in death by her ex-husband McKinley Berry Jr., sister, Barbara Jacobs, brother Landry Jacobs Jr and father Landry Jacobs.

She leaves to mourn her passing, daughters NiChelle (Donald) Berry and Tiffanty (Brian) Berry-Thibodeaux of Lake Charles, LA.; mother Oneta Burks; brother, Donald Jacobs and grandchildren; Terrell and Tianna Thibodeaux, Dominique (Diamond) Garrick and DeShanta Jefferson. Her great-grandchildren; Amontae, Trevon and Sofyah Garrick all of Lake Charles, La., and a host of nieces and nephews.
