Gary Richard 62 was the first born of six kids to Joseph and Octavia Richard of Lake Charles, La. He was a graduate of Washington High School Class of 1980.

He worked for Paw Paws Sea food then went on to Thrifty Rental Car and retired from
Calcasieu Parish Police Jury in the Street and drainage division.

Gary really loved his kids and grandkids. He always had a big smile and was very friendly and helpful to anyone he met. Gary enjoyed being with family and friends, music, as well as fishing. Most of all he loved traveling with his fiancé Deborah Owens.

Gary leaves to cherish his memories his Fiancé Deborah Owens of Lake Charles, La his daughter Tamika Wiltz of Houston Tx.
His mother Octavia Richard of Lake Charles, La. His two sister's Linda Richard Penn (Cornell Penn) of Columbus, Ga., Rachel Richard Pete (Rodney Pete) of lowa, La. One brother Mark Richard of Lake Charles, La and a host of nephews and nieces and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father Joseph Murphy Richard. His two sister's Patty Richard and Brenda Broussard. His son Gary James Goodley, His niece Antionette Broussard

Services for Gary Richard will be at Fondel Funeral Home at 832 N. Lyons St. Lake Charles LA 70601. The date will be Saturday March 25,2023. Visitation starts at 9am. The funeral will start at 11am. Repass will be at MLK Center at 2009 N Simmons St Lake Charles LA 70601 from 1 PM - 4 PM.

The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and support. We really do appreciate everyone!
