Gregory Anthony Cole Sr. was the first born to Antoine Cole and Elzena Cole in Kinder, Louisiana on May 21, 1960. He was baptized at a young age at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.

He was a 1978 graduate of Washington High School. For a period of time he resided in Baytown, Texas before settling in Beaumont, Texas from 1995 to 2007 and retiring after twenty years from a local plant due to his illness. He returned to Lake Charles, Louisiana to help care for his mother. He became a member of Starlight Baptist Church where Rev. Julian K. Woods serves as pastor. He was a member of the Men's Ministry and enjoyed cooking for this ministry.

He loved to fish with his cousins, play dominoes and watch the New Orleans Saints play football.

Preceding him in death was his father, Antoine Cole and his sister Veronica Washington.

Those left to cherish his memories, his wife, Eva Cole of Lake Charles, Louisiana; two sons, Gregory Cole Jr. and Justin Veasley (Tonya) both of Lake Charles, Louisiana; four daughters, Cameshia Pete (Leslie) of Birmingham, Alabama, Channing Cole of Fort Worth, Texas, Sharifa Guidry (Demond) and Kayla Dixon (Derrick) both of Lake Charles, Louisiana; one brother, Mark Cole of Lake Charles, Louisiana; two sisters, Christina Miller (Jeffrey Sr.) and Angela Ashley both of Lake Charles, Louisiana; three aunts, Ida Woods,Vivian Woods and Odelia Cole Jubert,eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild, and host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
