Helen(Reed) Franklin was born in Lecompte, La on August 24, 1943, to the late Clifford Reed and Maebelle Wilson, she departed this life on April 24, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loved ones.

She was united in marriage to the late Eugene Franklin on September of 1963, and reside in Lake Charles La where she raise 3 children. She was the first born of 7 siblings. Helen was a member of New Emanuel Baptist Church.

She leave two daughters Pamela Williamson, Carolyn Jones, and two sons Patrick Franklin, Jeffrey Franklin, 8 grandchildren and 8 great children all of Lake Charles, a host nieces, nephews, relatives and Friends and The Heart of Hospice who gave her care.
