IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joseph Thomas
59
November 14, 1959 – October 17, 2018
Joseph was a dedicated friend, employee of the City of Lake Charles Wastewater Division for over 20 years and most of all a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and so much more to so many. It was his contagious laugh, his love of fishing, the massive turtles he would catch, the BBQ he would cook for the family every holiday, and the wonderful times shared at the casino that will forever be in our memory.
The love, admiration, and respect he showed for his mother, father and wife was an amazing guide to his siblings, children and extended family. Joe, as he was affectionally referred to by his family and friends, loved his children and grandchildren and did all in his power to care for them and nurture them. Joe's leadership, hard work, and loyalty to his work family, the City of Lake Charles Wastewater Division, will always be remembered.
He was preceded in death by his son, Gerald Noble; wife, Clara Moore Thomas; and mother Shirley Blair Thomas.
He leaves the cherish his memory father, John Morris Thomas; children, Traonna (Gerald) Lee, Belinda (Michael) Lewis and John (Sara) Morris Thomas; siblings, Anita (James) Steward, Deborah (Larry) Prudhomme, Audrey Brown, Jennifer Lewis, Bobby Thomas and Teresa (Derek) Bellard; grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in Fondel Memorial Chapel. Burial will take place in Combre Memorial Park following the service under the direction of Fondel Memorial Chapel.
