IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joseph Lee
Henry
January 6, 1961 – July 22, 2023
Joseph Lee Henry " Joe Lee", fondly known as Joli, was born in Church Point, LA on January 6, 1961, to his loving parents, Joseph and Octavia Henry. He peacefully departed to His eternal rest place on July 22nd, 2023, surrounded by his wife Brenda and beloved family. Joli's journey began at Marion High School in Lake Charles, LA., where he graduated in 1979. He was a multifaceted individual, a devoted Husband, father, brother, and parrain.
Throughout his life, Joli cherished the stories of his adventures, and he was always brought fun to the occasion with his infectious smile. In his youth, he found joy in playing basketball, football, and dancing. Later on, Joli embarked on a new chapter in San Antonio, Texas, where he obtained his Cosmetology License in the 80s. Not only was he skilled in cutting hair, but he also served as an unofficial therapist, lending a listening ear and sharing the love of Jesus with many.
On May 2, 1989, he was blessed with a beautiful daughter, JoLynn, whom he affectionately called "LOVE." Their bond was special, and JoLynn brought immense pride and joy to his heart. In 2019, Joli found his dream wife, Brenda (Wilson Carter), and they became inseparable. On March 5th, 2021, they tied the knot, uniting their families and creating a beautiful blend of love. With this union, Joli gained three more daughters: Danielle, Nicole, and BreAnn, whom he loved as his own. Together, Joli and Brenda embraced life, sharing love, laughter, and incredible adventures.
Their final journey together led them to explore Jerusalem via Italy, where they immersed themselves in the rich culture and history of various religious places. Joli's unwavering faith and walk with God were evident to all. He never uttered the name of evil, choosing not to give it any respect or acknowledgment much.
