"Forever In Our Hearts"

A flame that burns so brightly, leaving warmth within our hearts.

A light that shines through darkness and unites us though we're apart.

The memories we carry with us, of laughter, love, and tears.

Will keep the flame alive and strong, throughout the passing years.

And in the quiet moments, when we feel the loss so deep.

We'll know that in our hearts and minds, their legacy we'll keep.

"A Time to Be Born"

Keren Jackson-Mack was born Keren McKay Jackson, to the late Selena
and Winfield Jackson Sr. in Lake Charles, Louisiana, she was referred to
as their "baby girl". Because she was the youngest of their 8 children.

"A Time to Live"

"Aunt Keren," as she was affectionately called by her nieces and nephews,
was baptized at an early age at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Lake
Charles, Louisiana. She was a graduate of Lake Charles High
School. Keren was a great athlete in school and was also a member of the
high school choir in addition to singing in the church choir of Mt. Calvary
Baptist Church. Upon her death, she resided in Rio Rancho, NM. Keren's
love of food and the joy it brings led her to a lifelong career in the
Restaurant Industry which caused her to travel a lot. From starting in small
kitchens back home in Lake Charles, like Ms. Burger or Paw Paw's…to
leading teams in opening restaurants around the country like nationwide
locations of Copeland's of New Orleans or The Improv in California. Even
outside of work, much of her life was spent in the kitchen putting smiles on
faces and creating memorable moments.

Because of this, many never knew that Keren had an entrepreneur side,
and often launched ideas and projects, including an online business selling
clothing and jewelry. She also had a love of teaching others how to cook,
which she often said was one of her favorite things about working in
restaurants.

"A Time to Cherish"

She was preceded in death by her parents, Selena and Winfield Jackson
Sr., sister, Beverly Jackson-Gause, brothers, James Jackson, Winfield
Jackson Jr., and her nephew, Clinton Jackson.

Keren leaves to celebrate her life and memory, her husband, Robert
Eugene Mack of Rio Rancho, NM, her two sons, Kristoffer Jackson (Enid)
of Humble, Tx, and Calvin White (Karla) of Lacey, WA; 5 grandkids Selena
Jackson & Theron Jackson, Caiden White, Kennan White, and Maddison
White; sisters, Barbara Jackson of Lake Charles, La., Aquina Jackson-
Powell of Lafayette, La.; brothers, Steven Jackson (Karen) of Baytown, Tx.
and Eric Jackson (Doretha) of Lake Charles, La.; Her oldest niece and
nephew, Winifred Jackson-Bell (Dannie) of Dallas, Tx. and Jeffrey
Muhammad (Janetta) of Dallas, Tx. who were always treated more like her
younger siblings. As well as a host of other loving nieces, nephews,
cousins, friends and loved ones. Each of whom had their own personal and
very special relationship with her.
