IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lasson Kenneth
Blake Legros
April 12, 2002 – November 25, 2023
Lasson Kenneth Blake LeGros, 21, was born on April 12, 2002 to John and Veronica LeGros in Lake Charles, Louisiana. On Saturday, November 25, 2023, the sweet spirit of our beloved son, brother, and friend went home to be with the Lord.
Lasson was a native of Lake Charles, Louisiana but was raised in Lafayette, Louisiana. Lasson grew up in Scott, Louisiana where he and his brother Jorion attended Live Oak Elementary. He later went on to pursue trade at the Youth Challenge Program. Lasson worked hard over the years. Lasson was always "on his way", "pulling up", or "down the street" but he never failed to miss a good meal. He was a charming young man with a radiant chunky smile and a hug that felt like the world closed in on you. Whether you were having the best day in the world or the worst day possible, Lasson made a way to lighten it up. He loved spending time with his siblings and his cousin Kennadie. Lasson also enjoyed spending his time playing playing video games and basketball. If we forgot to mention Lasson had a passion for sleep, it was quite frankly one of his best hobbies. Although his most recent hobby included raising his son whom he loved so much, we doubt he did any sleeping. While he was only able to make so short memories, he loved spending time with Kasen. Watching him grow so slowly was something he adored. He saw the simplicity in life and was always a good listener and advice giver, there was no problem too grand for Lasson he always had a simple answer to help get over it. LaiLai, as we called him growing up and still today, was always ready and willing to help others and was a humble young man that truly loved his family, friends, and life.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenneth and Pamela Gray; aunt, Kennyatta Gray.
Those left to cherish the fond loving memories of Lasson are his parents, Veronica and John LeGros; son, Kasen Jayce LeGros; brothers, Javari Guidry, Jordan LeGros, Brandius Batiste, Tre'John LeGros, Markail Nixon, Javen London, Jorion LeGros, and Jaiden Ellis; sisters, Breanna Winbush and Kaitlyn Ceasar; grandparents, Benita and Johnny LeGros; godmother, Kimberly Steve; godfather, Bryce Richard ; godchildren, A'Mara Palmer, Iveagh Duhon; godbrothers and godsisters, Akeem Steve, Myia Williams, Kailynn Richard Paris Golden, Grace Pervis Kayleigh Richard, Kiallyn Olivier, Londyn Dougas, Jaxon LeGros, and Cameron Ruiz; and a host of other family and friends.
