Latin Joseph (Butchie) Declouet was born on September 30, 1948 to Latin Joseph Declouet and Marie (Clark) Declouet of Lake Charles, LA.

He was born and raised in Lake Charles and attended Riverside High School. Later he moved to Pacoima, Ca and attended San Fernando High School.

He was a devout Muslim for 40 plus years and attended The Islamic Society of Lake Charles.  He worked for the city of Lake Charles for 20 plus years.

He made his transition on January 1, 2025 surrounded by his loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his Father Latin Joseph Declouet, Brother Terrell Batchan and his grandson Devon Grant.  He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Linda (Turner) Declouet, Mother Marie Declouet, Sister Betty Gasaway (Billy) his Brother Arnold Declouet (Rosa). 3 sons Sean Declouet (Katrina), Amir Declouet and Latin Berry (Rosalind). 3 Daughters Stacy Jackson, Demetria Declouet, Trachelle Jenkins P., 1 god daughter Elizabeth (Tonie) Tatum.

He will be remembered for his unshakable love for his family and friends and his sense of humor.

HIs services will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 11:00 am with visitation from 9-11 at Fondel Memorial Chapel located at 832 Lyons St.. Lake Charles, La
