Leslie Marie Jones was born on November 2, 1964 to the late Richard Williams and the late Pearline Colton. She was known in her community as Nanny Rie. She worked for Laura and Buddy Leach for many years. To know her is to love her. She taught us a lot of things but she didn't teach us to live without her. She was a great wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, great-mother, and friend. She was also a great baker, cook who enjoyed the outdoors and rearranging her house.


Her survivors include her fiancé Christopher Booth; four sons, Eural Edmards, Montana (Santana) Edwards, Leejustin (Trenese) Edwards, Jacob (Franchezka) Edwards, and Jared Reed all of Lake Charles, LA; three daughters, Shomica Edwards, Leslie (Christopher) Housley, and Amanda Edwards all of Lake Charles, LA; 30 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. Two brothers; James Colton, Jr. and Earl Colton of DeRidder, LA. A host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeffery Jones; parents, Richard Williams and Pearline Colton; grandparents, 11 brothers and one sister. Visitation for Leslie Jones will be on Saturday, June 6,2020. from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Fondel Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, LA with a graveside service under the direction of Fondel Memorial Chapel.
