Lola Coleman, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on October 31, 1980, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Lola brought light, laughter, and love into the lives of everyone blessed to know her.
Lola was known for her vibrant personality, outgoing nature, and compassionate heart. She never met a stranger — her radiant smile and generous spirit made everyone feel welcomed and valued. She lived her life with strength, purpose, and a deep love for her family and community.
She was the cherished daughter of Edna Broussard (Joseph Broussard) and Tommie Ford (Lori Ford), who supported and loved her unconditionally.
Lola was a devoted mother to her three beautiful daughters: Amiyah Bullock, Ahrianna Bullock, and Aiyahna Young. Her heart overflowed with love for her six grandchildren: Alyni Young, Ry'aire Young, A'riyah Richmond, Jai'Lynn Bullock, My'Lah Bullock, and Major Bullock — each one a treasured piece of her legacy.
She is also survived by her loving siblings: Dalvin Coleman, Taneisha Ford, Demon Coleman, Ineva Ford, and Tommie Ford Jr., who will forever hold her memory close in their hearts.
Lola is preceded in death by her oldest sister Shawna Coleman, Beauah Coleman, (her grandmother) Alice Latigue,(great-grandmother) Grand fathers, Jessie "Boo" Coleman, Frank "Dear Brother" Handy, her uncles Donald, Wallace, and Varice Coleman, her aunt Bridgette Coleman, and a host of great-aunties one whom she received her name Mrs. Lola Broussard and great uncles
Lola's life was a true reflection of love, family, and resilience. Her legacy is one of warmth, kindness, and the deep bonds she nurtured with everyone around her. Though her physical presence will be missed, her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
She will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved.
