Mary L. Allen( 66 ) was born in Lafayette, La to John R Rhodes & Mary Mayers. She was raised in Lake Charles, La where she lived most of her life. She resided in Houston, Tx.

Mary returned to her heavenly home on Friday August 9th at Herman Memorial Hospital She graduated from W.O. Boston High. Mary received her CNA CERTIFICATION from Calcasieu Community Action Program. Mary enjoyed watching her soap operas, sci-fi movies & sports. Her teams was the (New Orleans Saints & Dallas Cowboys). Most of all she loved her family & having a good time.

She preceded in death by her late husband Derwin G. Allen: her father John R. Rhodes brothers John Rhodes, Arthur Hall Sr, her sister Theresa A. Jackson.

She leaves to mourn her dear friend and companion Adam Johnson. Her four daughters Chanda (Anthony) Bennett Sr., Desera (Derek) LeDoux Sr, Shamekia (Johnny) Benford, Mary (James) McArthur Ill & 1 goddaughter Angela (Billy) Winbush Her grandchildren Jasmine Allen, Raymond Brandon III, Yas'meen Allen, Da,Quaries Allen, Ya'Zaire Moore, Makyra Guillory, Taylin Bennett, Keanna'Let McArthur, Charm LeDoux, & Nathaniel Benford, Her 5 great grandchildren Asriel, Da'Quaries Jr, Nyra, Amelia, & Asaiah. Her mother Mary Mayers, Her 3 sisters Carolyn & Linda Rhodes, Barbara Scott. Her 6 brothers Anthony. Earl, Gilbert, Robert, Patrick, & Michael Rhodes, A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, & friends.
