Mary Mayer Rhodes was born on March 11, 1940 in New Iberia, Louisiana. The Lord was ready for His child, so He sent His angels to guide her home. Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Roman Rhodes, on August 24, 1999.

Mary leaves behind her nine children: Anthony Rhodes, Gilbert Rhodes, Earl Rhodes, Carolyn Rhodes, and Linda Rhodes (all of Houston, Texas); Michael Rhodes (of Spring, Texas); Robert Rhodes (of Dayton, Texas); Barbara Scott (of Iowa, Louisiana) and Patrick Rhodes (Carencro, Louisiana).

Mary was preceded in death by her children: John Richard Rhodes, Mary Allen Rhodes, Theresa Jackson Rhodes, and Arthur James Halls.

Other relatives include Tammie Thompson of California, Charles Matthews of Lake Charles, LA, and Shirley Arline Theriot of Lake Charles, Louisiana, along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
