Mary Louise Thibodeaux was called home on February 20, 2021, at 11:36 pm. She was the only child. Mary Louise Thibodeaux was born on August 10, 1937, in Opelousas, Louisiana; born to Earnest Thibodeaux and Birdie Allen.

She was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles. She accepted the Lord as her Savior at an early age in life. She attended First Ward School and graduated from W.O. Boston High School. She attended Prairie View A & M University. She was employed by Salvation Army Bell Greeter for years, which she received a key to the city and later retired.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Bertie Shakier (Thibodeaux) and grandson Derrick Thibodeaux, and companion Willie Young.

She leaves to cherish her memories her ten children Benjamin Griffin, Adrian Brown, Cornell White, Meldon Thibodeaux, Wilton (Veronica) Thibodeaux, Ernest Thibodeaux; Darlene Says, Paulette (Ernest) Prater, Avello Charles, and Novella Thibodeaux, 23 grandchildren, 19 great-great-grandchildren, and 3great great-great-grandchildren.
