Ray Anthony Kelly (47) was born on June 15, 1977, to Ray Anthony Kelly Sr. and the late Sandra Mitchell Polk. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where he was christened at an early age then attended Lake Charles Boston High School. He utilized his culinary skills and amazed most when he used his gift not only at surrounding restaurants in the city but the simple dishes that he prepared for others to consume.
Ray was a true character and jokester that very seldom had a frown on his face. He was a gentle yet reserved giant that would do whatever he had to for family and those who he called friends that became family. One of his favorite sayings was, "I'm a lover not a fighter and I'm not messing up my face for no body.
He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren which was one of his main focuses. He was just a funny guy to be around and know. He will truly be missed. To know him was to love him. Ray was proceeded in death by his mother Sandra Mitchell Polk Grandfather Charles Mitchell (Martha) Grandmothers, Dorothy Kelly Cowan, Leona Pickens (Walter) Aunts, Carolyn Mitchell, Uncles, Larry, Charles, Joe, and John Mitchell, Great Grandparents Annie Mitchell and Randolph January (Katherine)
Ray leaves behind to cherish his memories his father Ray Anthony Kelly Sr., 1 daughter Raven Thomas and 1 son RayKeithen Thomas. 3 brothers, Damon and Anthonie Kelly and Devonte Richmond, 1 sister Chadricka LeBine, granchildren, Tyree, Khy'sen, Ray'Leigh Humphrey and Jayce Thomas. 1 nephew Davon Patterson 1 niece Stephanie LeBine Uncles, Arthur Ray Mitchell, Anthony White, Michael Kelly, Wayne Kelly, Randall Walls, Aunts, Sheila Kelly, Sandra Currie (Gary), Patricia Kelly, Linda Fay Whaley (John), Charlene Mitchell Kennerson (Keven), Caroline Glenn, Melissa Washington, and Anna Pickens Great Aunt, Helen Glover (Leon) Special Aunt, Melanie Hill and a host of other special friends cousins and relatives.
