IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rayfield
Nero
October 22, 1954 – January 21, 2024
Rayfield Nero passed away Sunday morning Jan 21, 2024 at home.
He was born October 22, 1954 in Church Point La to Elias and Ernestine Nero.
He went to Washington and Marion High School. After school he joined the United States Marines and is a Vietnam Era Veteran. After the armed services he worked at Boise Southern and Otis Engineering, but his lifelong career was as a cement finisher. His passion was cooking and ooh he could cook. His joy was seeing others enjoy what he had prepared. He loved spending time with family and friends. If you ever needed cheering up you could always count on him to make you laugh even when he didn't feel his best.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Cynthia Lawrence Nero, Daughters Michaela (Marcus) Nero of Lake Charles, La. Mischa (Bryan) Welles of Temecula California and grandchildren: Rayla , Emorej, BrenDale, Dajuan and Devon. His sister Windie Nero of Gillis, La and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. We will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents Elias and Ernestine Nero, three sisters, Bertrella Handy, Relma Clayton and Isabella Alex, two brothers, Evers Handy and John Nero
