Robert Johnson Sr. was born on November 24, 1955, in Lake Charles La. to the Late Curley Johnson and Elzadie Cains Johnson. He departed this life on Wednesday January 23, 2024.

Robert accepted Christ at an early age. He was baptized at Old Emanual Baptist Church by Rev. N.P. Jones

Robert graduated from Washington High School in 1973. Upon completion of High School, he embarked on a career in construction. One of the biggest jobs he assisted with was the construction the Capital One Tower. Known at that time as the Calcasieu Marine Tower.

Robert was a car enthusiast. He would wash his vehicles, then he would do maintenance work on his cars, then he would clean his vehicles again. He assisted his mother Elzadie with her food service business for years. Robert was an expert at frying cracklings, making boudin and other tasty favorites.

Robert leaves to cherish her memories; his loving son Robert Johnson Jr (Taletha).; 5 grandchildren Tariah, Jayde, Ja'Dyn, Torian and Tilan; three sisters, Gaynell Johnson of Lake Charles, Berrie Denson Henry (Daniel), and Amy Johnson both of Houston TX; one brother, Lester Johnson of Lake Charles, and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Father Curley Johnson, his mother Elzadie Cains Booth, five sisters Gloria Foster, Eula Green, Lois Dyles, Joyce Simien and Alice Bell; and one brother Clifton Johnson.
