Robert Taylor was born on June 30, 1942, to Kilrain Taylor and Lucille Calligan in Lake Charles. When he was 5 years old, the family moved to Seattle, WA. After graduating from Garfield High School, he joined the military. While serving in the Army, he was a two-term Vietnam Veteran. He was baptized at an early age, and years later, he rededicated his life through baptism at the Starlight Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Julian K. Woods.

Robert was a nationwide truck driver for many years, working for various companies. Later in life, he volunteered as a driver for the VA. His last job was with CARC as a client driver until his health started to decline.

Robert liked reading and hanging out with his grandchildren.
