While surrounded by her loving family on June 6, 2024 at 12:12 pm, the angels of the Lord took flight to escorted Ruby to her eternal home.

Ruby Dell White-McPherson, affectionately called "Ruby Dell" by family and friends, was born on February 11, 1954 in Opelousas, LA. She was the 7th of 9 children born to the union of the late Carlton White, Sr. and Carrie Mayo White. Ruby was baptized at an early age, accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.

Ruby attended Second Ward Elementary School and Reynaud Junior High School for her primary education. She then attended W. O. Boston High School and graduated in 1972. Following graduation, Ruby was employed at Wal-Mart as a manager until her retirement.

Ruby was formerly married to Clarence Ceasar, Jr. and to this union a son, Clarence Ceasar Ill was born. Later in life in 1997, Ruby married George Edward McPherson of McGee Arkansas, and to this union a son, Eric McPherson was born.

Ruby was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, stepmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She was truly a "boys' mom" supporting both of her sons in sports while coaching and cheering from the stands! Before her health declined, her hobbies included cooking, shopping, gardening, and maintaining her beautiful patio where she displayed her beautiful plants. Ruby enjoyed hosting family gatherings and spending time with friends while listening to music. She loved, adored, nurtured and spoiled her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Everyone who knew Ruby knows she was sassy and classy; always well-dressed from head to toe! She was friendly, witty and knew how to have a good time.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, Carlton White, Sr. and Carrie Mayo White; four brothers, Freddie White, Herbart Whites, Sr., Carlton White, Jr. and Sidney White; one nephew, Sidney White, Jr.; one great-nephew, Markell Jackson and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Ruby is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 27 years, George McPherson of lowa, LA; two sons, Clarence (Tiffany) Ceasar Ill and Eric (Amber) McPherson bother of Lake Charles, LA; one step-daughter, Darlyn (Clarence) Hayes of Baton Rouge, LA; a special great-grandson, whom she raised like a son, King Revis of lowa, LA; three sisters, Mary Stevens of Lake Charles, LA, Betty (Michael) Daveport of LaPlace, LA and Linda (Wilford, Jr.) Trahan of Lake Charles, LA; one brother, Arthur White of Lake Charles, LA; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
