Samuel Griffin, Sr., 81 passed at his residence in Lake Charles, Louisiana after a lengthy illness. He was born in Washington, Louisiana and later moved to Lake Charles.

He worked at Allied Van Lines for 30 years. Mr. Griffin enjoyed gardening.

Samuel was preceded in death by his parents Samuel Griffin and Edna Griffin; one sister, Bertha and six brothers.

Survivors include wife Juanita Griffin; son Samuel Griffin, Jr.; grandson Joshua Griffin; and brother Lloyd Griffin.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 6th from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM in Fondel Memorial Chapel, 832 N. Lyons St., Lake Charles, LA 70601, with funeral services beginning at 11:00 AM., Rev. David Griffin will officiate.
