It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved mother. Evangelist Sharon Lynn Green, 71, passed away at home of natural causes on April 29th, 2026, in Lake Charles, LA.
Sharon Lynn Rankins entered this world on 1/17/55 to mother Inez Jack and father Lionel Rankins. She was an only child, born in Lake Charles, LA. Maternal grandparents - Onezia Jack & Meonee Jack. Paternal grandparents - Mae-etta West Rankins Sims & Johnny Rankins Sr. She had two great loves in her life. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Michael Galmore. Her second husband, Kelvin Green, was a loving and devoted husband and stepfather.
She attended WO Boston High & Washington Marion High. She was a majorette at W.O. Boston High. She married Michael Galmore and was a military wife, traveling with him on deployment. They had two children, Margentina Carter & Michael Galmore Jr. Upon returning to Lake Charles, LA, she dedicated her life to Jesus and was a member of Refuge Temple for many years. She attended SowelaTech. & McNeese University, majoring in nursing. She paused her nursing career to diligently raise her two children. Years later, she was blessed & highly favored with two additional children, Mieks & Michael Carmouche, whom she cherished. Her dedication to raising and keeping her children safe was her priority.
She was dedicated to Jesus & the church. Pastor Sharon Lynn Green was a loyal member of Repairers of the Breach 5-Fold Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Darrell Dugas and Apostle Shelly Dugas. In August of 2017, Sharon Lynn Green was licensed and ordained as a pastor, where she served faithfully. Pastor Sharon stood as a gentle giant in the house, a strong intercessor, a prayer warrior, a preacher of the Word of God, & a bona fide prophetess. She was a pillar in the house of God. Prior to her death, she attended Living Harvest Assemblies under Apostle Andrew Jones in North Carolina via online services. She enjoyed evangelizing & prayer services on her Facebook platform/Group FaceTime. She loved reading, journaling, cooking for her family, family time, and listening to her gospels.
She is survived by her children Margentina (Delton) Carter, Michael (Michelle) Galmore Jr., Mieks & Michael Carmouche, 6 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, stepsiblings, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of other family members & friends.
