On Monday, September 11, 2023, the sweet spirit of our beloved brother and friend went home to be with the Lord. Terrance DeWayne Dartez, was born on  November 4, 1989 to Beverly Dartez Jones and Duane Jones in Mamou, Louisiana.

Terrance was a native of Elton, Louisiana, where he loved living the Country Life.  He was christened and baptized at an early age and enjoyed attending church at Solid Rock Ministries under the leadership of Bishop Rodney Botley, Sr., where he was a member.  Terrance was truly Blessed and loved being a father, making loving beautiful memories with his daughter Scienna.

A true outdoorsman and hunter, "Tee", as he was affectionately known had a great passion for hunting, deer hunting, riding four wheelers, ATV's, raising dogs, especially his favorite dog "Buck" and making memories with family and friends.  Terrance was a 2009 graduate of Kinder High School, who played football, was a member of the track team and made history as the first male cheerleader at KHS throughout his school years. When it comes to Terrance, he will always be remembered as "Tee, Piney or Piney Wood."  The fun-loving guy with a big heart who loved to laugh and make people laugh, was the life of the party, always ready and willing to help others, yet a humble man that truly loved his family, loved family gatherings and loved life.

He is preceded in death by his younger brother Jeremy "Chuck" Dartez; grandfather, Edward Thomas; great grandparents, Joshua and Lovenia Griffin and godfather, Tracy Jones.

Those left to cherish the fond loving memories of Terrance are his loving mother, Beverly Jones; father, Duane (Lawanna) Jones; daughter, Scienna; fiance', Jessica Ardoin; brother, Melvin (Taneisha) Dartez; sisters, Marquesha (Ronald) Foreman and Sophia Jones; grandparents, Doris Miller, Paul and Beverlyn Jones; aunts and uncles, Lee (Cassandra) Thomas, Albert (Renee) Thomas, Valarie (Robert) Bivens, Paul (Cartwright) Jones, Perry (Kenya) Jones, Erica (Malcolm) Ledet, Viola (Ernest) Tanner, Roy (Theresa) Thomas, Landry Thomas and Tiny Anderson; godmother, Angela Thomas Freeman; special brother, Brandon Perkins; godson, Allen Keyes; bonus sons, Cayson and Bryson Turner; and a host of other relatives and friends.
