Vicki Denise Franklin, 54, was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana on July 25, 1963 to Randolph James Day, Sr. of Chicago and Annabell Thibodeaux Day of Mowata, LA. Vickie passed away in her home surrounded by her family members on July 11, 2018 after a long bout with cancer.

Vickie is survived by her husband of 23 years, Lawrence Franklin of Amite, LA; children Anthony Day of Lake Charles, LA; Annabella Franklin of Lake Charles, LA; sister Doris Day Butler of Baton Rouge, LA; brother Randolph James Day, Jr. of Houston, TX and granddaughter Zyria Day of Deridder, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents Randolph Day and Annabell Day.

Vickie was a resident of Lake Charles for 54 years, she graduated from Lake Charles High and attended McNeese State University. Vickie worked at Iberia Bank, where she was a bank teller for 8 years, prior to that she worked at the White House Department Store on the mall for 23 years.

Vickie was a loving and giving individual, and everyone who meet her called her a friend. She loved spending time with family and friends, and she will be missed by all who knew her.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday, July 17th at 12:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of Fondel Memorial Chapel.
