Obituary

Virginia Johnson was a force of nature, a woman whose strength and resilience defied the odds time and time again, carrying a heart that couldn't be stopped. Born on January 16, 1978, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, she began her life grounded in family and faith, attending Lagrange High School before earning her diploma from Parkview Baptist. When a hurricane swept her to Bossier City, Louisiana, she rebuilt her life with unmatched tenacity, carving out a 20-year legacy as a manager at the multi-million-dollar restaurant establishment, Chili's. Virginia didn't just manage a business; she managed life with the same passion and precision, excelling at tax preparation in her later years and becoming known for her sheer determination.

Her greatest triumph, however, was beating death itself, which truly defined her as a powerhouse. As an advocate for heart and kidney failure awareness, she understood firsthand the challenges of battling through pain. Despite her own struggles, she never stopped offering strength to others. As a foster parent, Virginia opened both her heart and home, embodying the belief that love is most powerful when shared with those who need it most.

In her younger years, she was a sports enthusiast, even crowned Miss Athletic. Virginia was a stylish diva, never one to fade into the background. Her laugh could light up any room, and her toughness made her the strongest person in it. She lived by a simple yet profound philosophy: live life to the fullest, and stay strong—and she did just that.

Now, she journeys to reunite with her beloved Papa Bernie Manuel, MoMo Eva G, Mother Katherine "Kitty Cat" Manuel, Father George Johnson, her youngest son Savonte Johnson, her sister Michelle Manuel, and her best friend Karen. She leaves behind her soulmate and husband, Pablo Hernandez, and her three sons—her pride and joy—Treyvon Johnson, along with his sons Kaine and Elijah; Shavon Senegal; and her heart, Treshawn Johnson.

She also leaves behind the daughters she never had: her nieces, Scottlynn Skyye Sable Johnwell and Ureka Richardson.

Virginia's "butterfly" and baby sister, Lovenia Johnson, and her brothers and hype men, Reiko "Michelle" Johnson, Michael "Mary" Manuel, and Osha Manuel, mourn her deeply. Alongside them, cherished sisters by choice—first n foremost her Twin flame Kimbrely Cummings along with Taz, Rica, Desiree, latania and Keisha—also grieve. Virginia's light continues to shine in the hearts of her many nieces and nephews, including Jasmine, Colby, and Elijah; cousins like Austin, Allen (aka Boobie), Gineva, and Jenny ("Butt"); and countless friends, including her confidante Mike, best friends Jilly Bean and Jeremy, and many bonus kids—all of whom she considered her favorites.

Virginia Johnson was more than a woman—she was an indomitable spirit who lifted others even when she needed strength herself. She was, and will forever remain, a true testament to resilience, & the power of an unwavering heart,
