Abraham "Abe" Augustus, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, transitioned peacefully on September 22, 2025, in Mamou, Louisiana.

Abe was educated at Washington High School and later dedicated many years of service at Frey's Cleaners and Landry of Eunice, LA, until his retirement. He was a devoted lover of music and an avid sports enthusiast, passions that brought joy to both himself and those around him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Josephine Relafose; his father, Herbert Gordon; and his brother, Micheal Augustus. Abe leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Helen Augusta; his sisters, Linda Stewart (Augusta, GA), Nancy Johnson (Lake Charles), and Frances Augusta (Lake Charles); along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

Abe's presence, warmth, and love will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew him. We will always love and cherish you, Abraham. To celebrate the life of Abraham, a memorial service will be held at Fondel Memorial Chapel on October 12, 2025 at 11 a.m.
